Same Heart New Home
Darlene's Wee Care 4 Kids has been a second home for the children of Upper Darby since 1990. Generations of families have walked through our doors.
This June we open the doors of a refreshed, upgraded facility — new classrooms, a brand-new indoor gym, a new kitchen, and updated safety systems. The mission did not change. The heart did not change. The space simply got better.
We'd love to welcome your family into ours.

When does the school reopen?
We are targeting early June 2026. Tours of the refreshed facility are starting now. Schedule one to come see the space in person.
What ages do you accept?
6 weeks through 13 years. We have nine classrooms grouped across infants, toddlers, preschool, Pre-K, and school-age.
Do you accept childcare subsidies?
Yes. We work with CCIS and ELRC. Bring your paperwork to your tour and we will help you sort the rest.
What does tuition include?
Hot meals and snacks made on site, classroom supplies, field trips, indoor gym time, interactive projector learning, and parent-teacher progress conferences.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6 pm. We close on federal holidays and one staff training day per quarter, shared at enrollment.
Who are the teachers?
Our staff is a blend of long-tenured Darlene's teachers and new teammates personally hired and trained by Darlene. Every teacher is CPR and First Aid certified and background-checked.
What is the safety setup?
Keypad entry, sign-in/sign-out with photo ID, cameras in every classroom and outdoor space, and a quarterly-drilled emergency action plan.
